Booking & Escrow Policy

How direct bookings, holds, scheduling changes, releases and disputes work.

Last updated August 28, 2026

The flow

  • A studio sends a booking request with role, date, rate and location.
  • Talent accepts, declines or proposes a new time. Both sides see every status change and can sync it to their calendar.
  • On acceptance, funds are captured and held in escrow.
  • After the session, the booking party confirms completion and escrow releases to the talent's wallet.

Holds and releases

  • Escrow is held by our payment processor, not spent by ScriptU.
  • Automatic release happens 7 days after the scheduled end if neither side raises a dispute.
  • Released funds land as available balance and can be paid out under the Payouts Policy.

Changes and cancellations

Either side can propose a new time; the booking stays in escrow while the proposal is open. Cancellation outcomes follow the Refund Policy.

Disputes

Raise a dispute from the booking before confirming completion, or within 7 days after. Provide the booking reference and evidence to support@scriptu.org. We review the booking record, messages and any recordings you both consented to, and decide within 10 business days. ScriptU acts as escrow administrator, not as a court; either party may still pursue legal remedies.

Off-platform deals

Taking a booking off-platform after meeting here removes every protection in this policy and may result in loss of access.
